Greetings, The Common Threads Quilters Guild, in Vestal, NY is sponsoring an event for breast cancer awareness, whereby members of our guild, and members of the fiber artist community, will create art bras to raise money for the American Cancer Society and Encore Plus. Encore Plus is a community outreach program that assists women in receiving screening for breast and cervical cancer.
The artists will donate their embellished bras to be auctioned off in October 2009, during Breast Cancer Awareness month. You can see examples of other organizations’ bras at the following web sites:
